VULGAR TITLE THAT DEALS WITH RACE

  • The Tank 312 W 36th St New York, NY, 10018 United States (map)

February 26th @ 9:30 PM
This show is part of a Split Bill with Stuck and Coffin Room Confessionals (aka: is my green your green?)

VULGAR TITLE THAT DEALS WITH RACE is a play about a group of workshoppers workshopping a play about a GROUP of workshoppers workshopping a play about a gRoUp of workshoppers workshopping a play about… This is a story inspired by the accumulation of workshop processes, acting seminars, and class experiences I’ve had as a theater student. I think of this play as the voice in a workshop/class/performance that any participant had envisioned manifesting, only to get lost in the abyss of what people found “interesting” or “powerful.”  VULGAR TITLE THAT DEALS WITH RACE (One-Act Version) was the second place recipient for the 2023 Kennedy Center National John Cauble Outstanding Short Play Award.
