About the Show
Live performance exists to serve as America’s cultural conscience. As artists, it is our responsibility to make work that shines a light on things when they’re wrong, celebrate them when they’re right, and model alternative possibilities. This kind of work can change hearts and minds. Our ability to act fast and create work quickly in response to events, policies, and general dumpster fires has never been more crucial, as we participate in building the language of resistance.
We hope you’ll join us and make something for our July edition of Fast & Furious. Everything made for this evening, July 31 at 7pm, will be in response to events in the prior 7 days leading the up to the show. It will be fast, and it will almost certainly be FURIOUS.
Open to work in all disciplines! Looking for pieces somewhere between 3 and 7 minutes. Minimal tech, potentially some rehearsal hours subject to availability.
Want to participate? Email rosalind@thetankyc.org by July 24 for details!
