Bios:
JOAN SERGAY (Playwright & Director) is a director and writer based in Brooklyn. She recently finished a Directing Apprenticeship at the Actors Theatre of Louisville under the mentorship of Les Waters and Meredith McDonough. Joan has worked at PlayCo, Studio Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Rivendell Theatre, Citadel Theatre, and Piven Theatre. This season, Joan is a Directing Fellow at Manhattan Theatre Club, a Producing Fellow at Clubbed Thumb, and will be assistant directing at Primary Stages and Vineyard Theatre. She received her B.A. from Northwestern University in Theatre and Creative Writing.

JORDAN BEAN (Producer) is an NYC-based theater producer with a focus on new play development. She recently concluded a year as the Producing & Casting Apprentice at the Actors Theatre of Louisville. Jordan has worked for Tectonic Theatre Project, The Public Theatre, Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, Stage17 and Greenbrier Valley Theatre. She co-founded the NYC-based Dark Matter Productions in 2014, which is now consolidated under Jordan Bean & Co. JB&Co. is committed to theater processes that are intersectional, equitable, and affordable. The company is presently based in NYC, home of our monthly event Hearts On the Wall, performed on the last Friday of every month at Dixon Place through 2019. JB&Co. spaces are for every human being.
